Privacy notice

What we collect

• Through the site's form: the domain you name, your company and full name, your email, plus any telephone number, subject choice or note you decide to add.
• From email: whatever you choose to write to us, and the business contact details we used to write to you, which come from pages your company publishes.
• From the site itself: the server records the address of each request (IP, page and time) for security. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and no outside scripts beyond the font service.

Why

To answer your question, to discuss the sale of a domain name your company may want, and to complete that sale if you go ahead. This rests on our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries and on the steps you ask us to take before a contract.

Who handles it

• Our web host and network provider, which serves the site and passes form messages to our mailbox.
• Our email provider, which stores our correspondence.
• If you buy, the escrow service you pay and the domain registrars on both sides of the transfer.

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share who asked about a name.

How long

When an enquiry or an exchange of emails goes no further, we erase it 24 months after its most recent message. Paperwork for a sale that went through stays seven years, as tax rules require. Server request logs are kept for no more than 30 days.

Your rights

To get a copy of your details, have them fixed or erased, or be left off any future email, write to caitlin@ardelvecapital.com. Answering any message from us with the word "stop" works too. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you may also complain to your data protection authority.
